Job Title:                  Performance and Reward Specialist

Reporting to:           Culture and Performance Manager

Location:                   Hybrid with access to work in local offices. Ability to travel to Bristol, London and Totnes (Devon) Head Offices

Salary:                      Up to £40,000 + up to 10% bonus  

Hours:                        Core hours are Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30 (37.5 hours per week)

Who are you?

You will be a Performance and Reward Specialist who is ready to take the lead in shaping a high performance culture at Newcross Healthcare.  You will be passionate about driving excellence through innovative reward strategies.

What will you do?

Whilst a full job description can be supplied here are a few of the key responsibilities for the role:

  • Deliver cyclical activities including annual pay review, benefits renewal and production of annual gender pay gap report
  • Align performance and reward with performance management and OKRs.
  • Manage quarterly and annual bonus schemes, ensuring trackable performance and appropriate rewards.
  • Administer and track performance related to long-term incentive plans.
  • Develop and maintain recognition schemes to reward appropriate colleague behaviours.
  • Maintain relationships with reward and recognition partners to enhance the colleague experience.
  • Provide daily reward advice to colleagues and the People team
  • Data Analysis and job evaluation benchmarking
  • Support the design of reward initiatives and improve processes to remain competitive.
  • Identify future trends in policy, pay, recognition, and benefits, and recommend actionable options.
  • Develop and maintain creative communications to increase understanding and engagement in reward programs.

Apply governance to all reward initiatives, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with legislation and standards.

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience as a reward, benefits or compensation specialist, with a particular focus on using your skills and experience to drive individual and / or group performance.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently / remotely, prioritise critical activities within tight timescales, whilst maintaining high quality and excellent attention to detail and confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong MS Office skills, with advanced excel skills, and a strong eye for detail, with the ability to analyse large amounts of data to conduct reward modelling to enable accurate reporting and inform decision making.
  • Experience in reward data reporting and analysis, with the ability to manipulate and present reward data for various stakeholders.
  • Experience of using technology, particularly platforms and artificial intelligence (AI), to drive changes in how reward effectively contributes to the success of an organisation.
  • Knowledge of job evaluation processes and benchmarking to make informed decisions about the level of compensation that should be attributed to a role.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
