The Scottish Qualifications Authority, or SQA, is a public body sponsored by the Scottish Government. It is responsible for the development, accreditation, assessment, and certification of qualifications.
Unlike other bodies, the SQA is not paid to provide accreditation. Before obtaining the status of an SQA Approved Centre, organisations must successfully complete a rigorous application process which involves scrutiny of quality assurance, tutorial and marking procedures, and many other aspects.
You can be assured that all aspects of our training delivery meet the high standards required under the SQA. We are proud to be one of the companies approved to offer SQA qualifications.
CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. It is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities.
A structured, practical, and methodical approach to learning helps employers across industries to retain key staff and develop the skills & knowledge in their organisations to maintain a sustainable and competitive advantage.
Engaging in CPD ensures that both academic and practical qualifications do not become out-dated or obsolete. It allows individuals to continually ‘up skill’ or ‘re-skill’ regardless of occupation, age, or educational level.
Skills for Care endorsement is a bespoke quality mark for the best learning and development providers within the adult social care sector. It helps employers to easily identify high quality training providers without the need to search through the minefield of existing providers.
To become endorsed you must be able to clearly evidence that the training you have delivered has made a significant difference, not only to the learner but also to the person accessing care and support.
